Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page to help the Roy family adopt Jayden! Many of you are familiar with Jayden's story and many of you are not. Simply stated, God loves Jayden and He has a hope and a future for her! Through His grace and mercy, He has brought incredible stability and security into Jayden's life through the love and selflessness of Nick and Ty Roy. We have an opportunity now to partner with them and help Nick and Ty officially adopt Jayden! If you have seen them around, you know Jayden is a part of their family; it's evident at every turn. We hope you will consider being a part of Jayden's adoption story!
For more of a backstory, here is Jayden's journey in Ty's own words: “Jayden has been in and out of our home for the past several years. Her biological mom is very young and is doing her best, but suffers from mental illness. Last year, Jayden's mom asked me to take her for a few months while she tried to get back on her feet, but quickly realized this was an unrealistic goal. Her mother and I stay in constant communication and she loves seeing pictures of Jayden thriving in school, having fun with friends, and being a part of a true family unit. Jayden has grown exponentially while we have had the honor of loving her and teaching her this year. Her mom wants the very best for Jayden, but knows she cannot give it to her herself. So, recently, Jayden’s mom approached my husband Nick and I about adopting her. Frankly, this was such an answer to prayer. Throughout the year we've had her in our home, we've all worried about what would happen to Jayden should something happen to her mother. Prayerfully, we knew she was supposed to be with us. Adopting Jayden and officially bringing her into our family would not only protect her life and future, but also give her the stability she has always wanted and needed; stability she's enjoyed this entire year. Jayden has been through SO MUCH in her short life, and we want to give her the peace and security every child deserves. We would be honored to bring her into our home as our daughter and watch how the Lord will heal her heart and give her a new song to sing!”
Financial Need: Because it is a private adoption (the mom is willing, and not forced by the state), Nick and Ty must hire an attorney. And, before they can legally adopt her, they need to have a home study done which involves a social worker going to their home to make sure it’s safe, verify there is enough beds, interview their children, and more. This process is an additional cost to the attorney fees and takes about 6-8 weeks. Once approved, it's a matter of papers being signed and going to court to have the judge officially declare Jayden as part of the Roy family! In the natural, the total cost for this process is overwhelming, money the Roy family currently does not have. However, they know this has been orchestrated by God and are at peace. We invite you to agree with them and believe that this is nothing for Him! Adoption is in fact God’s heart—as He has adopted us into His Kingdom as His sons and daughters.
