Help Druh Represent U.S. at Worlds

My name is Jamie Druhan Green and I started karate in 2006 as a way to keep fit and to feel more confident and safe. I have been practicing and competing ever since. As an individual with autism and Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, I know what it is like to be underestimated and sometimes picked on. Karate has been a tool for me to grow and to show people that individuals with a developmental disability are just like everyone else and can do some really cool things if given a chance.

This year, after a year of tough training, I was fortunate to compete in Reno at the U.S. National Championship where I won the para karate national championship title in kata for the women’s over 18 intellectually disabled division.   The exciting result of this experience is being invited to compete in the 2018 WKF World Championship in Madrid this November as part of Team USA. 

While being a part of Team USA is very exciting, not all of the trip expenses are paid for me.   I am asking you to consider helping get me to Madrid. 

My expenses will approach double my goal so reaching my goal is a big help I would be grateful for.   This is a rare and wonderful opportunity for me and I hope you will consider supporting me in this effort.
