If you know James, this isn't going to surprise you: when the F&S group ran this by him on Tuesday, he thought we were kidding... and now he's hoping we'll shut it down to not draw anymore attention. I've marked the goal as complete for now - thank you thank you for everything you've donated.

James is one of the best people I know - quick to offer a helping hand, an awesome listener, and dedicated to his friends. If you know James, you probably have a story of how he's cared for you. For me, I'll never forget the day when I was in the middle of a crisis and James took an Uber then searched around a community center until he found me.
James had to take an Uber that day because even though he works hard at multiple jobs, he doesn't currently own a car. James uses a combination of public transportation, walking, Uber, and loaned cars to get around. He's done an awesome job at making it work, but wouldn't it be so great if he had his own car?
James is currently driving a 2005 Ford Explorer with a KBB value of $2400 that I co-own. I'm willing to donate my half of the value, and I'm hoping to raise the other half so James can own it outright. Any thing raised above $1200 will help James with insurance, gas, or other life expenses. Also - if you have a car in better shape that you'd like to donate, please contact me!
