Hello lovely friends, family, and other wonderful people!

My name is Imani Russell and I am a recent graduate of Vassar College with a BA in Drama. On September 17, I will be packing my bags and jetting off to Glasgow, Scotland to spend the next year working toward my MA in Musical Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland! I am truly excited about this opportunity to further my education as an actor, singer, and performer. Achieving my Master’s will allow me to gain the skills necessary for me to build a career I am passionate about.


As we all know, grad school is EXPENSIVE and I’ve made the BIG decision of moving to an entirely different country to pursue my dreams. I have been working all summer doing data entry and I have been fortunate enough to receive scholarships from Vassar to help me pay for a year’s worth of living expenses.


I still have a few more necessities to secure before/within my first term at RCS. Here are my remaining anticipated expenses:


Room & Board Deposit: $350

Books:  $77.12

Required Materials for Dance and Acting Classes: $417

Headshots: $386

Household Items: $161

Luggage: $153

Guitar: $130

Macbook & iPhone Chargers: $90


The total of these expenses is $1,764.12. I am asking for $1,770 to cover the costs of anything that might be a little more expensive than expected.

**I still consider myself a “beginner” on guitar (been playing for almost 7 years but didn’t work on scales like I should have uh oh), so songs with beginner to intermediate chord progressions are preferred :)
