Get Gunny (Williamson) Rolling

I am Kelly Williamson, born and raised in League City. Many of you know my 94 year old father, and 50 year League City resident, Dick "Gunny" Williamson. Gunny, as you know, is a proud man and respected amongst his friends and in the community. A retired Marine and NASA Photographer, Gunny has given to his Country as well as his local community. Gunny recently had a stroke which compounded his late stage Parkinson's issues and no longer has the ability to walk. A combination of my mother's recent death, and the stress of his health issues probably factored in his failure to pay his home insurance which lapsed on August 6, 2017. Gunny's  house received significant water damage during the recent flood event and he lost his electric wheelchair, his electric scooter as well as most of the contents of this house. Church volunteer groups and my brothers and I were able to remove the debris and start the drying process. Gunny will be returning to his house tomorrow (September 8) from the skilled nursing facility. Gunny has spent almost all of his retirement on 24/7 care for first my mother as she was progressing through the late stages of dementia and then himself once he lost his mobility due to Parkinson's disease and the stroke. We are hoping to raise money to help dad get his house back in livable shape with interior and exterior house repairs, functioning appliances including dishwasher and stove, furniture and medical equipment, and a new electric wheelchair. Bryant, Ross, and I as well as Gunny appreciate your kindness and generosity.
