Get Glenn His Ring

Donation protected
For the past 14 years, Glenn Fitzgerald has been participating in the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.  He has played softball for Fresno, California's Triple Play (age 70 and over team) since 2013.  Glenn lived for senior softball and this event.  Last year, Glenn led his team to the Gold Medal in the 70+ C Division.

The Huntsman World Senior Games, as it is known today, began in 1987 as the World Senior Games, an international senior sports competition. Founded by Daisy and John H. Morgan, Jr., the Games began with their vision of an international sports event for men and women ages 55 and better. It is now open to men and women ages 50 and over.

It is a tradition each year to honor those athletes that have participated for 15 years with a ring.  Glenn will reach the 15-year milestone this October.

On November 9, 2016, Glenn suffered a major stroke while substitute teaching a 3rd grade class in Fresno, CA.  Since then, Glenn has lost the ability to speak or walk.  Glenn has limited mobility on the right side of his body (He was right handed).

Glenn's four children would like to take Glenn to the 2017 Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah in order to earn and receive his ring.

Time is running out.  We need to raise $6,500 in order to take our father, Glenn Fitzgerald, to St. George, Utah for the Opening Ceremonies on October 10, 2017, where he will be honored and receive his ring.

Glenn’s journey will be documented on video and will be will be shared on social media.

Glenn's family appreciates any help you can give.
