Get Girls Into Tech!

Only 25% of computing jobs are held by women. So let's do something about it!

Join my women-in-tech group in an initiative to support women and girls in tech.

In partnership with the non-profit, Girls Inc., we are leading a volunteer-run after-school Learn to Code event on February 11th. During this event, 60 girls, ages 6 to 10 years, will participate in problem solving and software engineering activities.

To make this event a truly meaningful, educational, and fun experience for the girls, we need your help. We do not have any budget. So, to purchase necessary materials, we need your donations!

All donations will go towards purchasing the supplies below:

iPad rentals
DC Motors
AA battery holders
AA batteries
toy wheels w/ axles
rolls electric tape
wood dowel rods
insulated circuit wires
rubber bands
plastic pulleys
switches

If you can't donate, please share this fundraiser on Facebook or Instagram! Every share increases our chances of raising enough money to get these girls interested, involved, and learning.

We have also been reaching out to businesses, so if you know any stores that might be able to donate some of the supplies above, please let Stephanie know!

Thank you very much for helping us foster the creativity, curiosity, and knowledge of young, often underrepresented STEM learners.
