<div>Gearoid, aged 44, was hospitalized last October due to a brain mass. Surgeons at Salford Royal successfully removed most of the tumor, but unfortunately, pathology results revealed it to be an aggressive glioma tumor. Following his chemotherapy and radiation treatments starting on the 30th of November 2023, there was no significant response from the tumor as expected by the oncologists. In response, his chemo treatment has been changed to a more intense and toxic option in hopes of achieving better results. Exploring further options, we are considering enrolling Gearoid in a trial or seeking treatment at the CeGat immunotherapy clinic in Germany. However, the costs associated with these options are substantial. Even with our personal finances, it is impossible for us to cover these expenses. As a result, we have initiated a GoFundMe page in an effort to gather support for accessing this specialized treatment. Although another possibility was pursuing Car-T therapy in the United States, the cost exceeds $710,000, rendering it unfeasible for us at this time.
