Have you ever said "I need to get in shape so I can be a better rolemodel for my kids?" I have. Many times! Yet it's a lot easier to sit on the couch than it is to go for a run. Or eat nasty processed food instead of good healthy food. I want to make this change for good! I want my kids to grow up knowing what real food is and that exercise is a normal part of your day and to set goals, achieve them and knowing that the hard work pays off!
So... I have decided to do a few things to get myself "dialled in": 1. Run the Rottnest Marathon 2019 (and document my training) 2. Stay sober in 2019 (started in October 2018) 3. Get my bodyfat to 10% by eating healthy and exercising (and not drinking alcohol :))
I will document all of the above on my Facebook fundraiser page to keep myself accountable. Follow the progress on fb.me/getfitforthekids
My youngest son Miles has a very rare chromosome disorder called 49XXXXY and he has been under the care of Kids Are Kids! since he was 6 months old, so I would love to help raise more awareness for his syndrome and the amazing work Kids Are Kids! are doing for Miles and a lot of other kids with special needs in Perth.
