Get Emma Rose walking again

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Emma-Rose, and I'm a spring chicken at 40 years young. I am mummy to 3 beautiful children. They are 11, 8 and 2.

I was diagnosed with MS- Multiple Sclerosis when I was 33, in 2013 at the time of my diagnosis I could still walk, but spent most of my time homebound. However MS it is a degenerative disease and sadly my health has degenerated over the years. In 2014, I was registered partially sighted and was trained to use a cane and got rid of the career that helped me to take my boy to school. I have hypermobility and A LOT of fatigue and giving up my license was a blow.  MS took my independence when it took my sight. In 2015, I was matched with my guide dog and we had a couple of happy years together before having a relapse in 2017. This is when I started relying on a scooter to get to school and back. By this point I was using a rollator and a walking stick...things just got tougher. In 2018, my guide dog got retired and I couldn’t work him...he didn’t want to work. I use a wheelchair for convenience and speed. That's a weird experience as you become invisible, you have no choice, you go where you are wheeled.

I am not the only one who has lost out because of my diagnosis...my kids have lost the physical play from mum. I’ve never been able to stand up and hold the baby. I am desperate to remain physically active and join my family on family outings. I'm only 40, so have many good years ahead of me. Just being able to leave the house WITH my kids or indeed all on my own is a dream.

This mobility aid is like no other.  It’s funky, fresh. There's a lot of (incorrect) stigma and embarrassment out there attached to mobility aids and I want to show others like me there's no need to be embarrassed.

The reason for this campaign is to raise funds to purchase a walking bike for me. To enable me to do everyday things with my kids and husband, some might take for granted. I heard about this bike and started to dream about all the things we could do together, that currently we can not.  It would change our lives and allow us to play together and start having more fun together. We would be super grateful if you would donate any amount to help us reach our target and grab hold of our dreams. 100% of the money raised will go towards this walking bike and getting me and all of us moving.

I won't ever be able to thank you enough, but THANK YOU MILLIONS XXX
