Get Ellie Mae Better

Hello my name is Michelle. My boyfriend Aaron and I are the proud parents of four incredibly amazing four legged fur babies. Our dogs are our kids. We are a family. And as many of you know families fight sometimes. Our two girls, Paisley and Ellie Mae had a bit of tussle on August 31st. Unfortunately, that tussle has left Ellie Mae badly injured. She had surgery that night and the vet placed multiple drains in her chest. Ellie Mae was able to return home Sunday evening. Tuesday evening her wound reopened along the incision line due to the location of her injury. Ellie Mae had another surgery to remove all the underlying dead skin and tissue. Now our pretty girl is left with an open triangular wound from her neck to her armpits and across her mid section. The Vet and their staff are still working with Ellie Mae, doing sugar dressings and changing dressings twice a day. She will have to call the vet her second home for awhile. Until we can get her to a point that we can effectively change her dressings at home, she will have to stay there. Ellie Mae is our sweet, goofy girl and she is family.

I understand not everyone can donate, I understand money can be tight. Anything helps. We are already about $4k into our vet bills and expect it to more than double that in the end which is why we are reaching out for help.

We just want our girl to get better and be back home where she belongs.
