Get Davi’Ana to Clark Atlanta Univ.

Hello Family and Friends, I finally graduated and will be continuing my education at the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University. High school for me was a journey, my freshmen year didn’t start off so great due to my families living situation. I lived with my mom and two younger siblings in Oakland Ca. We had a lot going on at home which caused me to lose focus at school and fall way behind due to all my absences. I’ve always excelled at school, but with everything going on school was not my main priority. At the end of my freshmen year, my grandmother came from Reno NV to pick me up and take me to come move with her. Moving with her was the best decision I ever made. I was in a better space and I had my grandmother  who would do anything to help me achieve my goals. I started my sophomore year at Sparks High School with a 1.0 GPA because I failed nearly every class during my freshmen year. I was not on track to graduate and would have to play catch up for the next two years to get on track. I retook all the classes I failed and then some. I also work full time as a manager at Domino’s Pizza.  After 3 long years, I am proud to say that I graduated Sparks High School with a 3.7 Weighted GPA.  At Clark Atlanta, I plan to major in biology with a minor in psychology and will soon become a Dermatologist. I have two younger siblings, and in the future I want to be able to do anything I can to provide for them which is why going to college is the best choice for me. My cost of tuition is $37,000 but I received 3 scholarships and with the help of financial aid I am covered for my fall semester. I also have a small amount of savings from working but that still isn’t enough. I’m short about $14,000 and I don’t want my grandmother to be stressed by taking out parent loans. I’m a very independent person and try to do everything by myself but something I learned throughout High School is that it is okay to ask for help when you need it. I would really appreciate any financial support,  anything helps.
