Hello! My name is Courtney and I am hoping you can help support me and my dog in getting across the country to be with my Mom. Last week she was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She had been feeling unwell for a while, but pancreatic cancer is not what any of us were expecting!

Here’s the problem: I live in Oregon while my parents live in Maryland, about 2,800 miles away. And I just know my Mom would love it so much if Hermes (my dog) and I could be there to help support her through this really difficult time. Not to mention that my Dad will also need some help taking care of things around the house. Unfortunately, Hermes can’t fly and to drive across the country it will cost about $1,000. As someone who mostly works paycheck to paycheck, this unexpected trip will be difficult to pay for as I hope to leave on October 16.
