Get Barry to Mexico

My name is Sue Verheyen and some 20 years ago Sharon and I met when our daughters were in primary school together at Holland Park in Brisbane. What developed is a friendship that has grown deeper over the years and basically our two families have become one. 

I am raising funds for Barry to go to Mexico to have HSCT for Multiple Sclerosis. This condition has impacted on the family greatly. Barry and Sharon's three children, now adults, have missed out on part of their childhood as they had to grow up very quickly. 
Both Barry and Sharon have had breast cancer, with Barry undergoing a full mastectomy.  This occured a short time after the MS diagnosis. 

The funds will be used to get Sharon and Barry to Mexico and to assist with funding of the treatment. The funds are required urgently as Barry needs to be in Mexico by the end of January 2017 to begin HSCT.  As the treatment will continue once Barry returns to Brisbane the campaign will continue until that is complete. On completion the funds will be withdrawn and placed into a bank account of Barry and Sharon's choice. At no time will I have any access to these funds. 

I have personally witnessed the impact that this diagnosis has had on the family and feel that this is just a small way for me to help them out and make this treatment a possibility. 

This treatment may allow Barry who is wheelchair bound to become more independant and give him a better quality of life.  This would mean so much to me, Barry and his family to be able to give him such a life changing opportunity.
