My name is Sian and I need help to raise money to bring my Auntie Heather home from hospital in Cancun Mexico.
Whilst on holiday there she started to become seriously ill. Her partner assumed she had caught a cold and would be okay in a few days. However, on the 12th of September her chest became too congested and she couldn’t breathe on her own. She was rushed to hospital by ambulance on advice from the onsite doctor from the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. There She was diagnosed with a bacterial chest infection. Due to this she was put into an induced coma and onto a ventilator as she couldn’t breathe by herself.
The hospital withdrew the sedation on 18th September. The doctors expected my auntie to wake up within 48 hours, but she didn’t. My mum flew out to Cancun on 21st September to be with her as we didn’t think she was going to wake up. By some miracle she DID wake up on 25th September!! She is still very weak but is recovering from her infection slowly and will need rehabilitation to help build back up the muscle loss she has from being in the coma.
Her medical insurance company Barclays/ CEGA authorised funds for treatment on the 12th of September. However on the 27th September they then withdrew authorisation for funds naming the reason as her not declaring a preventative medication that she was issued in 2017 for Asthma.
My Auntie is retired and she do not have this kind of money available.
Please help us to pay for her medical costs and for the transport to get her home as they have said she may be able to come home next week but by medical evacuation air ambulance only. She is not allowed to take a normal flight and won’t be able to for some time.
Please help us, we are grateful for absolutely anything you can donate. £5 will help us get one step closer to bringing my auntie heather home.
We understand that this is a lot of money we are asking for. We can provide medical documents, photos, pretty much any reassurance that is needed to prove this is a genuine plea for help.
We are so desperate to help my auntie and to get her home, so please please consider donating just £5.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my post. We are eternally grateful!
