Hello my friends!
My name is Gercione Lima ( Geska Lima) and I live in Toronto-Canada. On July 2016 I was diagnosed with stage IV high-grade serous ovarian cancer and I had 7 rounds of chemotherapy with CARBOPLATIN and TAXOL.
I also had interval debulking surgery, a laparotomy, hysterectomy, BSO, omentectomy, sigmoid resection as well as reanastomosis and bilateral ureterolysis.
It seems that my journey is coming to an end. I finished chemo and radiation one month ago and as the disease progresses there's no more standard treatments available for me, except for alternative treatments in an bid to extend my life.
Now I am just trying to cope with the bad news and I decided to rely on some alternative medicine
Thanks to God most of my standard treatments was covered by OHIP, but there are also many services that are not covered, including alternative medicine consultations and treatments, Chinese medicine, integrative medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture and chiropractic services.
I am aware that these treatments don’t actually cure the disease or significantly prolong life, but they may ease symptoms and make what time remains more bearable.
Your financial help will make a big difference in my fight against this disease and its side effects.
