Gerry's Funeral

As many of you may know, my 85 year old mom lost her husband Gerry March 26th of this year. Gerry was on Hospice for a year and a half and his passing has been very emotionally difficult for my mom. Not only is she suffering from the grief and sadness of her loss, but she is also worried and distressed about how how she is going to pay for his funeral. Unfortunately , she just found out she will not receive Gerry's pension because she was not married to him at the time of his retirement. That is $2300 per month that she will not receive anymore.  The only income she has is $863 in social security and $200-400 per month from a part-time job which will end next year. That's not enough to pay her bills, and she has no money to pay for Gerry's funeral. She would be so grateful to all who are willing to help with the cost of the funeral.
