Gerry Kusz Family Memorial Fund

As some of you may or may not know our wonderful friend, father, husband, brother, son Gerry Kusz passed away suddenly Thursday December 3rd, 2020 after an 19 month battle with Cancer.
Gerry leaves behind his amazing wife Karen married 12 years (together 15 years) their two children Lisa age 13 & Jackson age 10. Karen just recently returned to work part – time due to Covid-19. We would like to help this family and alleviate some of their financial stresses and concerns in any way we possibly can.
Gerry was on disability prior to passing and finances are tight. We are asking for donations that will allow Karen to take some time off work to be with her children and to provide a fund to cover the costs of ice skating for Lisa and hockey for Jackson for years to come. The one thing that brought Gerry the most joy was seeing his children participate in sports near and dear to their heart.
If you have ever had the pleasure of spending time with Gerry or have even shared a quick laugh or smile with him you know just how great this guy was. Gerry and Karen have volunteered for years in this community both with Cowichan Capitals Jr A, Cowichan Lacrosse, Cowichan Minor Hockey, Alex Aiken School. Now is our time to give to them. We know that with the pandemic, as well as the holidays quickly approaching, times are tough for most right now so any donation would be greatly appreciated.
