Gerard T. Tracey Memorial Scholarship

Longtime Sunapee resident, Gerard Tracey, passed away suddenly in March of 2019.  His family has decided the greatest way to carry on the legacy of Gerry is to create a scholarship in his honor to be presented to a graduating Sunapee High School Senior.

Gerry loved spending his time with his family and friends out in nature. As a Conservation Officer for the town of Sunapee, he spent much of his free time working to keep the environment around him clean, protected and accessible to those who chose to share in his passion of exploring the woods.

Gerry was a proud Sunapee resident and raised two graduates of Sunapee High School. After his children graduated, Gerry was still involved in the school system as a coach for the Middle School Ski Team.

Gerry's family firmly believes that he would be proud to support a Sunapee resident in their quest to carry on his mission of protecting our forests and natural resources.

The Gerard T. Tracey scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior attending a college or university with a focus on environmental studies or has a history of land conservation and a passion for nature through extracurricular activities or their senior project.

100% of the proceeds raised will go into the scholarship fund.
