Gerald Dowell

Gerald Dowell (the owner of Rusty Star Barbecue) has recently been diagnosed wit T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma leukemia. Gerald and his wife Kelly,  are the type of people who would never ask for anything. Gerald would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. I pray in this time, we can all come together and help them. Where’d it be buy a donation or simply sharing this story so it may touch someone who is able to donate at this time. Gerald has traveled to Tijuana to seek care as well as seek treatment here in Waco.  Wednesday night, Gerald was rushed to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest hospital for abdominal pain  and has since been care flown to Scott and White in Temple. Currently he is undergoing emergency exploratory surgery to try and figure out what is wrong with his colon. He had a large portion of his colon removed, his kidneys are failing and he will have to go through dialysis along with chemo.  His situation is very critical right now and since he is the only source of income because he has to cook and prepare all the meats at the restaurant, they so desperately need help. I am reaching out to anyone that can help this precious family. They do not have any medical insurance at all and everything is out of pocket expenses for them. So please help!!
