Gerald and Jessica

Hello friends and family. We have recently received the heartbreaking news that at the young age of 39, Gerald has cancer. He has lesions that matastisized in his brain. A few of them are larger tumors that will need to be surgically removed, most likely this week. Then radiation. On top of that, the doctors still don't know where the cancer is originating, so he will face possible chemo or more surgery depending on where it's coming from. Many more tests to be done in the next few days. This is pretty devastating for us as you can imagine.  So we are dealing with a lot of uncertainty at this point. He is at The James and receiving excellent care. I am obviously spending a lot of time here at the hospital. I am humbly asking for help. I don't know what to ask for, but I obviously need to care for our 4 children, and it would be wonderful if I could depend on prepared meals at times. Our puppy needs to be boarded at times. Lots of expenses are adding up. Gerald isn't working and bills are piling up. If anyone has the inclination to help us out, I would be forever grateful. Good thoughts, positive energy, prayers, we will take it all. We are scared but trying to stay positive. Will update as we know more. As many of you know, Gerald is a veteran of the Army. He works with veterans to get the benefits they deserve and he is so anxious to get back to work, even in the midst of all this
