HOPE DAWNS ETERNAL is my newly completed thriller set in the world of soap operas and featuring Jonah McQuarry, a character played by the reclusive actor Mark Westgate, who may or may not be a vampire. I'm seeking funds to hire a really excellent illustrator and graphic designer for the cover, as well as a webmaster to help with e-book publishing and online marketing.
I'm the author of two published novels: Mood Swing: The Bipolar Murders and Eldercide. I self-published both books in print form and did the cover illustrations. Readers loved them, but I failed to meet my goals in terms of sales and recognition. I'm bipolar and subject to depression, and I fell into a deep funk after each publishing experience.
I'm convinced HOPE DAWNS ETERNAL is my best book yet. It's a complete departure from my other novels - a paranormal fantasy, funny and romantic, with a potential audience of millions of fans of daytime drama. I'm already at work on a sequel. Writing a novel is a daunting task, but for me, marketing is more difficult by far. This time, I'm determined to persevere, beat the odds and reach the readers my work deserves.
If I succeed in meeting or exceeding my fundraising goals, I plan to use any left-over funds to hire illustrators and designers to relaunch Mood Swing and Eldercide in both print and online versions. Both books have touched many readers deeply, and they deserve a wider audience.
Ultimately, I'd like to reel in an agent and/or a traditional publisher, but one way or another, I'm determined to succeed. Please help by being as generous as you can.
