Hi all,
Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I came to be in medical debt.
In February, I felt a lump in my throat -- which after an ultrasound, biopsy, MRI, and pathology test, doctors confirmed to be a three-inch malignant tumor that needed to come out.
In March, I got diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer.
The good news is that I'm out of immediate danger! I was lucky to have such driven and dedicated doctors and surgeons, and my loved ones holding my hand through the whole ordeal. It was painful -- physically, emotionally, and mentally -- and in some ways, it continues to be so, as I wait for my thyroid medication to kick in and give me any semblance of energy back. For now, I'm sore and in pain but (mostly) cancer-free.
The not-so-good news is I haven't been able to work since the surgery. And after countless doctors' appointments, medication, specialists, and stays at the hospital, I'm kind of drowing in debt.
So, if there's any way you can donate, I would be absolutely grateful. If that's not something you're in the position to do right now, I'm still grateful that you heard me out.
