<div>This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve always been the kind of person who just pushes through. Who copes quietly. Who figures it out on her own. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me, it actually makes me deeply uncomfortable, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do this alone anymore.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For 14 years, I’ve lived with chronic hip pain. What started when I was 16 as a single moment on a set of steps has slowly taken over my body, my independence, and parts of my life I never imagined losing so young. I’ve tried everything, years of appointments, scans, therapies, medications, procedures, a hip arthroscope in 2022. All in the hope of living without pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last year, after the pain became unbearable, I finally received the answer that explained everything: I have hip dysplasia. My hip sockets are too shallow, my joint doesn’t function the way it should, and my body has been breaking down trying to compensate. For the first time in years, I no longer feel crazy. I feel validated. There is a real, physical reason for the pain I’ve been living with and with that diagnosis came something I hadn’t felt in a long time: hope. I’ve been presented with an opportunity to change my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I now live with constant, debilitating pain. I walk with a limp. I wake at night with shooting pain down my leg. Simple, everyday tasks often require help. The physical pain has taken a real toll on my mental health and my sense of self.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At 30 years old, I need a total hip replacement.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This surgery isn’t about convenience, it’s about quality of life. It’s about being able to walk without pain, sleep through the night, regain my independence, and move toward a future that isn’t dictated by chronic pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cost of this surgery is significant, and despite doing everything I can, I can’t cover it on my own. That’s why I’m asking for help. Even though it’s hard, even though it humbles me more than I can put into words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to donate, please know that you’re not just helping fund a surgery, you’re helping me reclaim my body, my independence, and my life. And if you can’t donate, sharing this or offering support means just as much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me in this moment. I don’t take any of it lightly.
</div>
