Georgia's ski racing season

Hi Everyone,
My name is Georgia Willinger. I am a 20 year old alpine ski racer from Christchurch, New Zealand, however I now reside in Calgary, Alberta.
Ski racing is an amazing sport. It allows me to travel and to gain experience in areas that most 20 year olds never get exposed to, and for that I am extremely grateful. However that does not take away from the fact that ski racing is also a tough sport. Although I am a member of the New Zealand Ski Team, I do not receive funding or compensation from any source to fun my ski racing dream. The costs involved to compete at an elite level often put a limitation on talent. Expensive equipment, extensive travel and on and off snow training fees take up the bulk of these expenses. I have made the most of what we have, working two jobs in the off-season to offset these costs.
I have had some success racing through the North American Circut (NorAm) and racing in World Cup races that happen to be close to home. However at this point in my ski career I have been sidelined from international competitions due to economical reasons. Most of these elite races are held in Europe, which have been out of my reach, not in talent, but in pocket. I have qualified for the World Junior Championships that are scheduled on the 30th of January, 2018. I have reached criteria for this competition 3 years in a row but have not been able to attend; but with your help I would love the opportunity to compete this year as it is my last year in the junior category.
My goals are to become an official carded athlete, which would alleviate some of the stress involved in budgeting costs every season. The ultimate end goal is to become an elite downhiller and compete throughout the Word Cup Circut.
