George Mason Computer College

My name is Ethan Hanson and I am honored to have been nominated to attend the Envision Game and Technology Academy at George Mason University in Washington DC .  While family and friends are contributing, the cost of tuition (including room and board) is a prohibitive $3595.  Therefore,  I am seeking tuition assistance to attend the program that runs July 8 - July 20, 2018.

I am a freshman at Lake Oconee Academy (a public charter school) in Greensboro, Georgia.    My mom, sister, brother and I live in a small rural neighborhood with my grandparents.  I have been interested in technology and mechanics all my life.  I have built a number of computers and stereo systems. I have an extensive knowledge of motors and electronics and enjoy maintaining and repairing them.   Many of our neighbors are retired and I assist them with mechanical and computer issues as well as lawn maintenance.  My leisure activities include video games, dirt biking, cooking and football.  In addition, I speak conversational Spanish and beginning Portuguese, I play the baritone saxophone in the school symphonic band and jazz band.
