Generosity for Jeremy

Imagine being 49 years old going about your normal life and then all of a sudden you start noticing changes in your body. You're dizzy when you stand up, you suddenly have difficulty walking, and trouble with carrying on a conversation. You go to the ER and they run tests, but they don't have any answers and they send you home. You can no longer work and have no short term disability. You worry daily about your family and how you will make ends meet. You suffer through the next several weeks, lose 18 pounds, and still don't get better. You return to the ER after having fallen several times at home. You can no longer be left unattended. They run tests and find 2 lesions on your brain. They say they think it could be a virus from a mosquito or tick bite and do a spinal tap. Still no answers. They send you home saying there is nothing they can do yet, until the results come back. A second spinal tap is necessary and finally you get an answer. An unimaginable answer. You have Sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. A fatal disease so rare that only 5 cases have been identified in the US and it can only be diagnosed in the late stages. This is the nightmare that our friend Jeremy Flowers and his family woke up to at the beginning of June. Jeremy's prognosis is grim and he will need around the clock medical assistance.
Here's where you come in:
We are raising money to help Jeremy and his family with medical bills and daily expenses. Anyone who knows Jeremy knows that he is always there to help those in need and we want to be there to help him. While we are making plans for a fundraiser in September, the need is immediate. Jeremy and his family should not have to be concerned with medicals bills and other expenses during this very difficult time. They should be able to concentrate on spending time together. No donation is too small and any donation will be appreciated.
