"The service you do for others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" This morning my son and I dropped off some non perishable items and towels to my friends at our local Soup Kitchen. Enrique Zuanetto, the amazing director, opened The Soup Kitchen of Boynton Beach doors as a shelter during the hurricane. Once they lost power, they were unable to provide hot meals and adequate shelter to the hundreds of people in desperate need of their help. It's times like these that it's more important than ever that we are able to come come together as a community to help those that are in need. If we can help them purchase an industrial generator, they will be able to stay open 365 days a year and this won't be an issue now or in the future. Any contribution helps. ----- Established in 1983, The Soup Kitchen Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to help the less fortunate members of our community.  This includes the elderly, unemployed, underemployed, poor, migrants and homeless – women, men and children.  We feed the hungry and assist in our humble way to keep families together by providing them nourishment, clothing and education. We provide a safe, clean, uplifting environment for guests in need of food and fellowship. The Soup Kitchen provides meals at no cost to our guests and it is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also, by the generous contributions of donors.  We do not receive any funding from the county, state or federal governments. We hold on to the belief that while we may not be able to help everyone, we will support as many individuals as we can.  We have a “no questions asked” policy which has resulted in our serving more than 600 hot meals a day to individuals and families in the surrounding Boynton Beach area. Our mission is simple: to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances.  The Soup Kitchen provides healthy and nutritious meals to all who come through our doors.  We are committed to improving the quality of life and restoring the dignity of those we serve when providing a hot meal to any member of our community in need of one. Our vision is to assure that no one goes hungry, that no food is wasted in our community and no one is denied the opportunity or assistance to become self-sufficient.
