My name is, Alan. I am part of the generation bridge community group. We started approximately 18 months ago.

Our aim is to bring older and younger people together, youngest 27 to oldest 70+, to share in activities, break down isolation and barriers. Also learn from each other and enjoy each others company.

Our group is needed as many of us feel isolated and need the stimulation of being with other people for our mental health and also to give back to other people in the community, who would benefit from our activities and organisation.

We try to organise as many free events as we can because we have no funding. We have held afternoon walks, quizzes, guided museum tours, tea & chat and cafe visits.

We also have theatre visits and attend exhibition events, which each attendee pays for their own tickets. Sometimes with the kindness of the community we would be offered discounts for tickets to events we attend based on the number of members.

This is a kind request, with your generosity and support, this will help the group for upcoming events and social activities to keep members together and connected with little to no stress of financial struggle.

Any donations would be appreciated and put solely towards the group events for the near future.
