First of all I'd like to personally thank you for supporting me! (A BLACK. INDIGENOUS. QUEER. WOMAN.) because I understand that times are tough during this pandemic and Black Queer Folks, especially Black Trans Women, do NOT get the time of day on their GoFundMe pages!
I set up this go fund me for myself to have certain Gender Affirming Surgeries. Not only for my own safety and comfort but also because I can feel more like myself. This is not something I’m doing for cosmetic purposes. These surgeries will allow me to navigate this world as the person I am, lessening the fear of harassment and discomfort. In a world where trans people are barely respected, barely given proper resources, and barely given the time of day, I would like to feel as liberated as possible. For so long I struggled with who I am, and I am thankful and privileged to have people like my mother who support/respect/uplift me unconditionally. Gender Affirming surgeries can be such a financial burden and psychologically exhausting already and any help that I can receive I would be SOOOO thankful for! We do not live in a world that respects and loves trans folks, let alone black trans women. So again, thank you so much for your support. <3
This amount will not only cover the surgery, but will also include:
-Travel
-Consultations
-Healing/Recovery
-Medicine/Aftercare
-Etc.
Again, Thank you so much
XOXO
