Gena's Concussion Recovery

On Wednesday morning, October 24, Gena Garcia-Kirby was bathing her children when she stood up and hit her head on a cabinet, something we have all done to ourselves at one point or another. This particular bump to the head, however, was soon diagnosed as a concussion and has made it incredibly hard for Gena to function as a single mother of four amazing children.
Concussion recovery requires complete rest, quiet, while the brain heals. It is an unpredictable road and is challenging because recovery hinges on being able to fully rest and recuperate. The more you do when you have a concussion, the worse it gets and the longer it lasts.
As a single mom of four kids, Gena does not have the luxury of taking time off from work or parenting, both of which are necessary for concussion recovery. The logistics of being on her own and unable to work while she recovers will most definitely make it a struggle to take care of her children and put food on the table.
Please help us support Gena and her family by providing any amount of financial support to go directly to pay for groceries, childcare, and rent during her recovery period. We are hopeful that with the proper rest and support, Gena makes a full and speedy recovery in the next few weeks.
