Gemma Hospital Costs

Gemma is currently in the hospital right now awaiting a diagnosis. She has had some minor back problems this month but stopped having function in her hind legs as of 24 hours ago. The Doctor is worried it is either a slipped disc that has ruptured or a tumor on her spine. If it is a ruptured disc, they have a chance to possibly do surgery with a 50% chance success rate of her walking again. We’re hoping it is this route and not a cancerous tumor. Gemma is such a sweet girl and has not had the easiest of life’s! I adopted her October of 2019 when she was extremely emaciated but she quickly gained weight and became the happiest girl with a new lease on life! She has a lot more life to give and I’d like to do the surgery on her if that will give her the best chance! The doctor said he thinks the best route will be putting her to sleep as she will have little quality of life without walking if we can’t do the surgery. I am hoping for a miracle.
