<div>Manchmal verändert eine einzige Diagnose das ganze Leben.

<div>Bei unserem Bruder wurde ein multiples Myelom festgestellt, eine schwere und belastende Erkrankung, die nicht nur ihn, sondern unsere ganze Familie und seine Freunde tief erschüttert hat.

</div>

</div>

<div>Im Rahmen der Untersuchungen wurden bereits mehrere Knochenherde an der Wirbelsäule und den Rippen festgestellt. Nun beginnt für ihn ein intensiv medizinisch begleiteter Weg mit spezialisierten Therapien, zahlreichen Untersuchungen und langfristigen Behandlungen. Und immer hoffen wir, dass diese Maßnahmen wirken und nicht umsonst sind.

<div>Wer Marco kennt, weiss: Er ist ein Mensch, der immer für andere da ist.

</div>

<div>Beruflich stand für Marco immer der Mensch im Mittelpunkt: Die ersten zehn Berufsjahre verbrachte er im Rettungsdienst, anschließend seit 25 Jahren in der Medizin- und Orthopädietechnik, immer mit dem Wunsch, anderen zu helfen.

</div>

<div>Ob als ehrenamtlicher Schwimmtrainer, neben seinem Vollzeitjob, als bester Freund oder Bruder, als liebevoller Ehemann oder vor allem als unglaublicher Papa seiner zwei Töchter, er schenkt anderen Zeit, Kraft und Herz, ohne jemals etwas zurückzuverlangen.

<div>Er ist ein Kämpfer, der in seinem bisherigen Leben schon einige Umbrüche erlebt hat und niemals aufgegeben hat.

</div>

<div>Jetzt braucht er selbst Unterstützung.

<div>Trotz der medizinischen Möglichkeiten bedeutet diese Situation nicht nur eine enorme körperliche und emotionale Belastung, sondern auch eine erhebliche finanzielle Herausforderung.

<div>Neben den medizinischen Standardtherapien gibt es alternative und ergänzende Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, die ihm helfen können, Kraft zu gewinnen, Nebenwirkungen zu lindern und seine Lebensqualität zu verbessern. Leider werden viele dieser Therapien weder von Krankenkassen noch von Versicherungen übernommen und verursachen hohe zusätzliche Kosten.

<div>Unser Ziel ist es, ihn finanziell zu unterstützen, um erfolgversprechende medizinische Behandlungen zu ermöglichen. Er soll seine gesamte Kraft auf das konzentrieren, was jetzt zählt: gesund werden, Kraft behalten und Zuversicht bewahren. Finanzieller Druck auf die Familie soll somit vermindert werden.

<div>Unser Bruder ist ein hilfsbereiter, verantwortungsvoller und starker Mensch, der immer für andere da ist. Jetzt möchten wir als Familie gemeinsam dafür sorgen, dass auch er Unterstützung erhält.

<div>Hello, we are Dirk and Antje and we are raising funds for our brother Marco and his family.

<div>Sometimes a single diagnosis can change your whole life.

</div>

</div>

<div>Our brother has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a serious and debilitating condition that has deeply shaken not only him, but our whole family and his friends.

</div>

</div>

<div>Examinations have already revealed several lesions in his spine and ribs. He is now embarking on an intensive medical journey involving specialised therapies, numerous tests and long-term treatments. And we are constantly hoping that this course of treatment will work and not be in vain.

<div>Anyone who knows Marco will tell you that he’s the sort of person who’s always there for others.

</div>

</div>

<div>Professionally, Marco has always put people first: he spent his first ten years in the emergency services, followed by 25 years in medical and orthopaedic technology, always driven by a desire to help others.

</div>

</div>

<div>Whether as a volunteer swimming coach alongside his full-time job, as a best friend or brother, as a loving husband or, above all, as an amazing dad to his two daughters, he gives others his time, energy and heart without ever asking for anything in return.

</div>

</div>

<div>He is a fighter who has already experienced several upheavals in his life so far and has never given up.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Now he needs support himself.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Despite the medical options available, this situation has caused not only an enormous physical and emotional strain, but also a significant financial challenge.

</div>

</div>

<div>In addition to standard medical treatments, there are alternative and complementary therapies that can help him regain strength, alleviate side effects and improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, many of these therapies are not covered by either health insurance or private insurance and incur high additional costs.

</div>

<div>Our aim is to support him financially so that he can access the necessary medical treatments. He should be able to focus all his energy on what matters most right now: getting well, staying strong and keeping his spirits up. This will help alleviate the financial pressure on the family.

<div>Our brother is a helpful, responsible and strong person who is always there for others. Now, as a family, we want to work together to ensure that he, too, receives support.
