Help Geli replace her stolen Mac

Hi Friends,

Many of you know that I always organize fundraisers for awesome cause. Be it Haiti, victims of Hurricane Sandy, Cuba, Guatemala, etc., wherever there is a need I try to do my part. I would never have been able to organize all of these events without the unyielding support of my sister Angelica (whom I lovingly call "Geli".) So as life would have it, this time it is my sister who needs a little help.

On Friday night my sister's car was broken into. The back seat window was smashed and the trunk was accessed through the back seat. At no point were her belongings visible from the outside, so this was definitely a sophisticated crime, which is even more unfortunate.

Although she lost a lot of necessary personal items, such as her prescription eyeglasses and commuter pass, what hurts the most is that her laptop, containing her graduate work from the last two years is now gone. She is due to graduate with her MPH in May and has been working hard on her final project, which she especially spent precious hours on this past week, and was now finally moving along with nicely.

Unfortunately, she thought she had backed her documents to the iCloud, but it turns out they hadn't been synching all along.

She has filed a report with the police department and locked her computer with hopes that all of her other sensitive information hasn't already been accessed. She's made the moves to try to get her belongings back, but isn't hopeful that anything will be returned, considering the circumstances.

So I am here to ask you if you can help me raise some funds to help Geli towards buying a new laptop. In the meantime, she's been very fortunate to have amazing friends who are loaning her laptops and tablets, while she figures things out. I will be sending her my laptop today while she figures something else out, or until her graduation if that's what's needed. But, ideally we can help her out with raising funds to help her buy a new one!
