Gelato To Go restart after Hurricane Ian

With no internet at their home, I have been asked to share this Go Fund Me story on behalf of my friends, Oxana Shishlova and Matteo Marini.

Oxana and Matteo relocated from Miami to Ft Myers one year ago to start a more peaceful life at the beach. After careful planning, design and hard work, they proudly opened their brand new gelato shop on Ft Myers beach called Gelato To Go. It was full of positive energy and bursting with the potential of amazing gelato flavors, coffee, fresh food and the chance to establish as the "go to" for all of the local community and the tourist community as well. Open for just 10 days before Hurricane Ian, the Ft Myers community was lucky to have such a great new business that whole heartedly focused on hospitality and making everyone who walked in the door feel welcome and comfortable.

Hurricane Ian, with its direct hit on Ft Myers, has destroyed their new shop, leaving only the posts of the building standing in the aftermath of the storm. The devastation is unthinkable, but Oxana and Matteo are passionate about rebuilding what they started and are asking for help. This Go Fund Me fundraiser will help to rebuild their shop. With the generous donations, they will be able to 1. repurchase all of the specialty equipment that went into creating their amazing gelato shop and 2. find a safe, new space to rent. And, at the end of this Go Fund Me, we will be able to rewrite the hurricane tragedy as a "happy ending" once they can reopen their doors for Gelato To Go.
