May 1st, 2017 I had to resign from my position due to several health issues along with my pre-existing Type I. Diabetes. What started as a daily migraine and visual problems has now progressed within one year to unknown neurological issues, including numbness in my extremities, loss of vision, weakness, exhaustion, anemia, kidney disease, just to name a few. As of today I still have no diagnosis after numerous abnormal brain MRIs, spinal taps, eye exams, CT Scans, bloodwork, botox treatments, intravenous treatments, and eye surgery. Over the course of the year I have seen an abundance of specialist, been in and out of several hospitals. When at the hospital in October after having a mini stroke and an abnormal MRI I was told that I showed signs of a demylinating disease, which could be MS.
I have been denied Disability twice as of now. I am now waiting on the final hearing.
In addition to my own health issues my oldest daughter was diagnosed at 18 months with Cerebral Palsy and also diagnosed at the age of 3 with Type I Diabetes.
My youngest daughter was born with Spina Bifida.
Our family has been blessed with both of these girls and we wouldn't change them for anything, however the medical expenses have added up.
My husband works as much as possible to support the family and often has to take off time from work to take us to doctor visits.
Normally we would not ask for help, however in order to provide for our family in the area of essentials we need help to cover our medical expenses. We have exhausted all other resources at this point.
We are hoping within the next week we will finally receive a diagnosis and be able to start a treatment plan. Meanwhile the stress and the hardship is taking a toll on our whole family.
Thank you for taking your time to read our story. Any amount of help would be welcome and much appreciated.
