Geena's Kidney Transplant

I have the bravest mom! She's an even braver daughter, wife, grandmother, and beautician! After having my brother they told my mom her kidneys were functioning at 30% and she should look to start dialysis.....he's 17, so thank God for that time. The last 2-3 years my mom has been on dialysis. I have seen it take a tole and others have seen the ups and downs as well. Nevertheless, she kept smiling and kept striving. She has dreaded asking for help or anyone doing it on her behalf, but at about 3 am this morning 09.26.18 she was called to Birmingham for kidney transplant!! She has a donor and deserves it greatly!! With the transplant comes insurance costs, gas cost, hotel costs, as well as missed time from work for both her and her husband. The hospital no longer funds a place to stay during the 3 weeks after the transplant, but she is still required to stay in the city, which is even more of a cost. Friends, family, and friends we don't know we have your donations and prayers are greatly appreciated. Surgery set for 1 pm today!
