Payoff The Mortgage for the Kentucky Guild

Tax deductible

The Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen (KGAC) is a non-profit organization synonymous with quality, integrity, artistic excellence and education. Since it's beginning in 1961 aboard the Guild Train, the KGAC has been a leader in promoting and educating the public in the world of arts and crafts. The seeds planted by those early days aboard the Guild Train have contributed to Kentucky being recognized, not only in our nation but throughout the world, as a cultural arts and craft center. No doubt, much of the success realized by Kentucky’s artists and craftsmen of today is a direct result of the KGAC's efforts over the past 60 years of promoting the awareness of and respect for our hand crafted products.

While the KGAC no longer travels the rails, it is still a leader in artistic excellence and education through it’s headquarters located in Old Town Berea, Ky. With a benchmark art gallery on the first floor showcasing it’s members finest works and the entire second floor being developed as an Arts Academy to teach aspiring artists, the KGAC is holding directly to the roots of it’s founding philosophy. Please research the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen for more amazing facts about it’s incredible story.

In the early 2000’s, a decision was made to pursue a permanent home for the KGAC and a bricks and mortar building was purchased and renovated to become it’s flagship. Many hours were donated by volunteers working along side professionals to create a facility of which all of Kentucky can be proud.

It has come a long way in paying the bill for this endeavor but unforeseen set-backs have taken their toll and slowed it’s progress. The loss of some wonderful benefactors through their passing and the loss of previously reliable grants have taken their toll, but the nearly knock out blow of Covid-19 has strained it to it’s limits.

Therefore the KGAC is launching a “Payoff The Mortgage” campaign to put this expense behind it and allow it to concentrate on moving forward.

Thank you for your interest in and support of this historic organization. Please contribute what you can and share this project so we can assure the continuance of the 60-year heritage of The Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen.
