My friend and co-worker, Lorena Armenta, needs your help today! In August of 2017 her husband was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in both lungs, caused by an autoimmune disease, and has not able to work since.  He was placed on oxygen 24 hours a day as his right lung was severely scarred and not functioning.   They were informed that the scarring was irreversible and would need a lung transplant to survive. Luckily, they were able to find a donor and his lung was transplanted on March 14, 2018. He is still hospitalized as of today, March 27. Even with insurance, getting the transplant was expensive and costs will continue to add up. There were many doctor visits, exams, procedures, and evaluations to undergo before the transplant. There are also multiple medications he will still have to take for life. For the first year after the transplant, he will have to undergo through various bronchoscopies and continuous lab work, scans and x-rays.  The funds obtained will help Lorena’s family to cover medical expenses and their daily living as she had to take a leave of abscense to care for her husband as he recovers. Her family is in need right now as the only income they are receiving is hers. Any amount you give will be greatly appreciated. I am also asking you to share my link with your friends.
