L.I.F.T Organization Inc. & the Genesis Firm in conjunction with The Georgia Citizens’ Coalition on Hunger (Hunger Coalition) will be hosting a Winter Clothing Drive and Thanksgiving Dinner to feed 300 families on Nov 20th, 2014. The Georgia Citizens’ Coalition on Hunger established in 1974 as a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help children and adults that suffer from malnutrition and nutrition related health problems statewide and in metro Atlanta have called on the community for help in feeding the needy. .
L.I.F.T Organization Inc. is a newly formed nonprofit organization that caters to helping the homeless and we’ve answered the call from The GCCH by actively participating with GCCH to help the many struggling families who go forgotten throughout the year especially during the holiday season. Each year there are over 7,000 homeless people in the metro Atlanta area and countless others around the country that go without food or shelter. With the significant amount of families that are unable to put food on the table there's a great possibility they will even go without a Thanksgiving meal. We refuse to let this happen for as many families as we may possibly help! This year L.I.F.T Organization Inc. and The Genesis Firm would like to give a helping hand to those less fortunate by raising funds for this event or having donated nonperishable food items.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to feed 300 hungry families living in the Metro Atlanta area. We’re aiming to provide a comforting meal of over 25 turkeys, 30lbs of rice, and 30lbs of macaroni, green beans, salad and sweet potatoes. Now along with the menu items plates, napkins and utensils are all going to be needed. With just a few short weeks left before Thanksgiving is upon us, I request your partnership and urge that you make a contribution for this event quickly as time is short. We’ve already retained assistance with prepping and preparing all we need now is your help with the collecting of items to serve to the families who will attend. This event will be held on November 20th, 2014 from 2pm-6pm at The GCCH center located at 9 Gammon Ave, Atlanta, GA 30315. All contributions and assistance are welcomed.
