Wayne Redmond Sr., through his short 47 years was always involved with music. From Concert Band, and Orchestra in the Bay Shore Junior High School through the Bay Shore High School Concert Bands, Orchestras, Jazz Bands, Drama Pit Bands and Bay Shore Marauder Marching Band. Finally as an adult Wayne was able to participate in the Bay Shore Fire Department Fife Drum Corps and the Lindenhurst Fire Department Drill Team Band.
Wayne was fortunate to be able to partake in these programs in schools where Music and Art Programs were supported. Unfortunately now these programs are not always available and if they are they have an out of pocket burden to the student’s family.
The Wayne Redmond Sr. Scholarship Fund has been setup to help those in need of financial assistance to participate in musical arts programs through the United States of America. We are hoping to raise monies continuously throughout the years in an effort to provide scholarships twice a year to those students who need the financial assistance in the Musical Arts Programs.
The first 2 Scholarships will be granted through Bay Shore High School which was the Redmond Family Alma mater.
Moving forward the scholarships will be granted nationwide.
Any and all donations in preserving Musical Arts in the schools in the Name of Wayne Redmond Sr. is greatly appreciated.
