In February, <strong>I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer</strong>, a journey that has been both physically and emotionally draining. After undergoing surgery, I thought I was on the road to recovery. However, life had other plans.

<div>When I returned to work after taking time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and STD, I was unexpectedly laid off in April. This setback came at a time when I was still recovering and dealing with the aftermath of my surgery. To make matters worse, I've been battling serious debilitating issues that have prevented me from returning to work.

<div>As a result, I've had to apply for disability, which has been a struggle in itself. But what's even more daunting is the fact that I'll likely need to undergo another surgical procedure in the near future. To ensure I have the medical coverage I need for this major procedure and the possibility of bladder cancer diagnosis, I've had to opt for COBRA coverage, which is adding significant financial strain to an already overwhelming situation.

<div>It's so hard for me to ask for help - I've always tried to be independent and self-sufficient - but this is one of those times when I really need the support of others. To be honest, rebuilding my life has looked nothing like I imagined it would. Life has taken unexpected turns, and it's forced me to confront challenges I never thought I'd face.

<div>My physical condition does not even give me the ability to do activities that often seem normal like drive, go to grocery store, or even simply go for a walk.

<div>It took me a while to gather the courage to write this and ask for help, but I'm doing it because I know I'm not alone. This is the most daunting thing I've ever done is to ask for help.
