Horse Rescue Needs Help

Please we are asking for a hand up, not a hand out.

  As many of you know Makin' Tracks Trail Rides is a self funded equine rescue. We have been rescuing horses for nearly 20 years.

  We rarely ask for donations. But right now we are in over our heads.

  Our truck is the life's blood of our operation. It has been down since before Thanksgiving. 4 mechanics later, and still not running.

  We rented a truck for the Christmas rush and have had it for nearly a month now.

  Now that our credit card is maxed out I have been informed that the truck has lost compression.

  Expenses are piling up and our slush fund completely gone. A month of no income has put is into debt that is going to be extremely difficult to catch up on.

  Rental truck, feeding horses, vet bills, farrier costs, regular bills are piling up. 

  We now face the decision should we invest in another truck or spend costly amounts to repair this one.

  What income is coming in now is not enough to cover mechanic costs and rental costs, let alone the daily upkeep of 15 horses. We are very slow until March.

  Without some help we are going to be in a lot of trouble in a very short time.

  The horses have not missed a meal yet, and are still receiving the care they need, but I don't know how we will get through the next two months without some help.

 Please if you can spare a little hand up we will really appreciate it.
