Now that we’ve moved from the sugar rush of Halloween into the fully peppermint-scented days of the holiday season, the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (GCAA) is hoping that its members will embrace a new and unique way to give back to the community!
This year, the GCAA will be hosting an inaugural LIVE Morning Perks Podcast via Zoom, with the goal of engaging our membership to raise money for the nonprofit, Crisis Assistance Ministry.
On Tuesday, November 28th (Giving Tuesday), Bill Clements, Morning Perks Podcast host, and GCAA Board President John DeMario will be hosting a "telethon" in the hopes of raising money for Crisis Assistance Ministry. Giving Tuesday is a global movement that aims to encourage people to spread generosity through philanthropy. Giving Tuesday takes place every year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. Ultimately, the day serves as a reminder for people to give back in whatever amount, form, or act of kindness they can.
Now, here’s a little secret about this event, in the conversations that we've had about this idea, an anonymous donor has pledged to match every dollar raised up to $5,000!
The team at GCAA will soon share details on how to join OR swing by during the live event to donate in person! Make plans to be a part of the new way that the GCAA is thinking big on Giving Tuesday!
