First of all I would like to thank you for stopping by my page and taking time to read my story. It is my goal to eventually become a lawyer who works in human rights, either internationally or in the United States. Before I start law school though, I will be participating in a Justice based Discipleship Training School (DTS) through Youth With A Mission (YWAM).
Youth With A Mission is an organization that seeks to reach out to the world and encourage the youth of the world to bring God to the nations. Part of this mission is accomplished through the different schools that YWAM offers. The school that I’m attending, Discipleship Training School, is a five month program with three months spent in a classroom learning more about and growing closer to God and two months doing outreach. The focus of the program that I was accepted into is justice and injustice, meaning there will be a focus on human trafficking, poverty, and street kids.
YWAM has bases all over the world and I will be at the Marine Reach base in Tauranga, New Zealand with an outreach focus in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.
I am asking that you pray over me as I prepare for and carry out this mission which God has set before me. Please pray for safe travel, the lives of the people I will be in contact with, and for my relationship with God while I am preparing, in New Zealand, and when I come back.
I also ask you to prayerfully consider supporting me financially for this mission trip. The cost for me to travel to New Zealand and live on base for 3 months as well as go on outreach for 2 months with YWAM is approximately $10000.
