GB U16s Softball European Championships success
Very exciting news that Ethan (aged 11) Oliver (aged 11) & Lucas (aged 15), all from Lytham St Annes Softball Club have been selected for the Great Britain U16s Softball Team!
A huge success story for local Lancashire children!
They are heading off to the Czech Republic in July to represent Great Britain in the European Championships!
They are also playing in the Great Britain Fastpitch League throughout the summer down at the National Baseball & Softball Centre at Farnham Park and there is also an opportunity for Oliver & Ethan to play in an U13's tournament in Croatia in August!
We are all so excited for them & the memories they will make!
We are now raising money for the club, to enable other players to follow in their footsteps, as well as for the boys, as the trips & equipment all come with a cost. We are extremely grateful for any and all contributions!
Costs per player:
Tournament (travel & accommodation) - £1000
GB League fees - £150
Specialist equipment - £450
Training & travel kit - £250
Parents of the boys are of course funding as much as possible, but we'd like to ensure all the boys are able to take the opportunity in front of them & also provide the club with as much funding as possible to pave the way for other talented players (boys & girls) to follow in their footsteps!
