Back to School Project 2013/2014

250 students - £10.00 each student

The Gaza Strip is still suffering from a very tight blockade, which became even worse because of the new situation in Egypt. Just at the time of starting the new scholastic year, many fathers lost their limited source of income; where their kids needs to start their new year in school like the rest of the kids in this world. By Back to School Project and based on what the Messenger of Allah (prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "He who alleviates the suffering of his brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would alleviate for him a suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection." [Reported by Muslim] and based on what he also said: "Whoever helps brother in his need, Allah will help him in his need." [Reported by Muslim], Ethar Voluntary Center wishes it would be able to help those poor kids to have the necessary tools for any student to be able to proceed in his her study.



One Nation working alongside Ethar in Gaza will help provide each poor student with (one school bag, 10 notebooks, 12 pencils, 2 erasers, one sharpener and a ruler). Each student will cost only £10.00 to get these tools, which will be enough for at least the first semester or even most of the year.
Goal:
Helping the poor students to proceed normally in their study by providing them with the needed stationery.
Objectives:

1- Providing school stationery (1 school bag, 10 notebooks, 12 pencils, 2 erasers, 1 sharpener and a ruler) for 250 poor students.

2- Reducing the suffering of the parents of these 250 students, by helping their kids to get what they can not offer for them.



3- Helping 250 students to better in their school by encouraging them to study and enabling them to feel that there are other people who do care about them.



Target group:
250 poor students in Khan Younis city "“ in the south of the Gaza strip (names list is attached)
Project duration:
2 weeks , including preparation and distribution.
