Gavin's Road Ahead

We all know that the heart of a parent is a transformed heart. Simply nothing comes before your children and their well being. Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Aaron, put their children’s wellness above all else; let this be a testament to how much you can love and dote upon your children and still not know all of their demons.
13-year old Gavin had been bullied all school year long without mentioning it to his parents or school counselors. His laugh stayed loud and his smiles stayed bright; he excelled at rugby and helped his team win the Illinois state championship. He cared for his parents and three siblings, spent time with friends and family at celebrations and get togethers. He was, by all measures, a normal, happy kid.
On Thursday, June 7th, Jen and Aaron’s beloved son attempted the unthinkable.
After days of unfathomable worry and panic in-hospital, doctors declared that Gavin would likely make a full recovery with none of the expected side effects they feared. This was a miracle. It is all a miracle. That Gavin still walks this Earth is a miracle.
Gavin’s journey through recovery has just begun and, as any parent can imagine, this involves a lot of time away from the normal routine as well as daunting medical and recovery bills. Unexpected costs associated with longterm care may last months or years.
