Tami and Sean pursued many passions together, none more important to them than their relentless drive to set their boys up for success in the future. Academic achievement, participation in activities and sports, and embracing family, friends and neighbors are values near and dear to this family.
Gavin (10) and Griffin (6) are the gems of Tami and Sean’s 20-year union. The boys are seeds of promise who will undoubtedly flourish to spread pride and joy to anyone near them.
Sean and the boys are in the midst of unspeakable sorrow and grief right now with the passing of their hero and leader, Tami, who despite battling courageously and valiantly, succumbed to Melanoma on November 6. Tami fought every day for a year to overcome this disease. Though her life on Earth is over and she is now one of God’s angels, Tami’s ability to fight cancer while simultaneously working with Sean to love and nurture her boys is a lesson that resonates a million lifetimes.
Her loss is profound to so many. It is overwhelming to Sean, Gavin and Griffin.
But loss is not the end to Tami’s legacy nor is it the end to Tami and Sean’s story. You have a chance to join their mission of setting up Gavin and Griffin for success and to empower Sean to continue nurturing them. Sean always says Tami built an army, an innumerable coalition of “framily” and supporters, and we know this community of caring souls is ready to step in and help.
Gavin and Griffin are students at Faithful Shephard Catholic School with the ambition and potential to continue their educational and extracurricular journey for many years to come. A secondary education, maybe postsecondary education...the sky is the limit.
To support Gavin and Griffin in this journey is to uphold Tami’s legacy and is to shine a light on the virtuous path Tami and Sean so steadfastly began for their boys.
