It is with great sadness that we, the family of Juanita Perez, announce the loss of Luis, the youngest son of Juanita and brother of Juan, Santos, Aracely and Lucero. We are devastated to share that while on a family vacation in North Carolina, our beloved son and brother Luis Jonathan Diaz Martinez passed away in a tragic accident on the afternoon of August 3rd, 2021. He was 20 years old. He loved video games, tennis, soccer, and spending time outside. He was a source of love, laughter, and strength for his mother and 4 siblings. Our family is heartbroken and in shock to lose Luis when he was so young and so full of life.
His younger sister Aracely wrote some beautiful memories and we invite you to remember Luis with her words: "He was a family man and he always loved to smile and do activities together. He loved to walk around and he loved helping other people. We used to stay up late talking about our future and how he was going to walk me down the aisle because he wasn't there for my 15th birthday. He always took care of me when I got sick. He would walk to the store and buy medicine and chocolates. He had an amazingly generous heart and loved to talk more than anyone in our family."
Thank you for your accompaniment of our family during these difficult times. Your prayers, loving actions, and support is deeply appreciated. Any funds raised will go towards funeral and burial costs. We thank you for your love and accompaniment of our family during this time. Es con tanto dolor que nosotros, la familia de Juanita Perez, compartimos el fallecimiento de Luis, hijo menor de Juanita y hermano de Juan, Santos, Aracely y Lucero. Todos estamos destrozados. Nuestro amado hijo y hermano, falleció en un accidente trágico mientras estábamos de vacaciones en Carolina del Norte el martes 3 de agosto del 2021. Luis tenía 20 años. Amaba los videojuegos, el tenis, el fútbol, y le encantaba pasar el tiempo afuera. Era una fuente de amor, risas y fuerza para nosotros. El corazón de nuestra familia está roto y estamos en shock de perder a Luis tan joven y lleno de vida.
Su hermana menor Aracely escribió unas lindas memorias y te invitamos a recordar a Luis con sus palabras: Luis era un hombre joven dedicado a su familia, siempre estaba sonriendo y le gustaba hacer actividades todos juntos. Le gustaba caminar y ayudar a otras personas. Luis y yo, nos quedamos despiertos hasta tarde hablando de nuestro futuro y como él me iba llevar al altar cuando me casara, ya que él no había estado cuando cumplí mis quince años. Siempre me cuidaba cuando estaba enferma, caminaba hasta la tienda a comprarme medicina y chocolates. Tenía un corazón increíblemente generoso y le encantaba platicar mucho, más que a todos en nuestra familia.
